Signed: Nambasa, mother. I accept Ronald’s photos to be used to get him different support.
My mother was a trader and my father was a mechanic
I was in grade six (6) when mother got sick and stop trading.
My father was sponsoring me till I reached junior school grade seven (7) but sadly he also got sick and died
My daddy wanted me to study abroad and become a medical doctor. But unfortunately, I'm very good at pomes.
Which I still want to make my carer.
Honestly I want to become a very good poet.
Today if my dream comes true, my focus will be the less fortunate children in the Gambia.
“ It grows in me like a tree that keeps me wondering why I was chosen by poetry ”
I love education
Nelson Mandela said;
“ education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world ”
I want to use it to change the poor and less privileged children in the Gambia.
Here is a Poem written by Mariama
THE JOURNEY TO SUCCESS
The first letter of human life:
Discipline
Which is tangible and difficult to acquire
But when gained, you become respectful
For when life is approaching which blessing, the prayers of your parents shall keep you succeeding
And if you are a faithful person then greatness shall keep you prospering
Some people say, Life is like a stepping stone for a crown of greatness and glory
But discipline is one of the most crucial tools in human life for that should be inculcated in everybody’s mind
To achieve your destiny meaningful
With a smile
Hello everyone, My name is Isatou Barrow. I am 19 years old. I want to tell you about my story.
My father was an immigration officer and my mother was a trader. I graduated from grade school on 19 July of 2019. I want to further my education but don’t have any support. My dad was supporting me from nursery school up through secondary level, but now I am graduated. I am not doing anything now. My Mum and dad are not working now. My dad and mum love me so much. They want me to be educated so that I can help myself and others.
As my dad was supporting me through school he used to tell me, “I want you to graduate to be a medical nurse in the future.” I wanted to study nursing but I don’t have anys support because my mum and dad are not working.
The electricity problem is affecting many people. Even if you wanted to study at night, mostly we don’t have electricity, an economic side effect for many people not able to work.
If I had money, I would like to help the poor and the needy to have enough education. I would also like to help my family so that they can have the education they want.
This is my story. - Isatou Barrow

She can’t manage that hard life, but she tries to adopt those who are young and lack parents to look after them at our home village.
